What if missing socks were really just hiding in your house having a rave behind the washing machine.
What if the tomatoes in your fridge were actually really rude to the cucumber
What if your duvet had issues with touching people so you just assault it every night
What if the the missing socks weren't missing at all. But dancing in the middle of the wall. Your missing sock, where could it be? Behind the washing machine it may be. You creep your head through the door. And hear the rumbling of the bass straight through your core. Right in front of, before your eyes. Your missing socks what a surprise. Flapping about, doing a Mexican wave. Your missing socks where having a rave.
MISSING SOCKS
The real question is... what happens to those missing socks, you remember putting every singe one with their pair into the washing machine. 2 hours and 49 minutes has passed, its time to remove them and put it in the dryer. 3 SOCKS ARE MISSING. How is this possible? What abominable science has lead to the disappearance of my favourite socks! My pink ankle sock, my knee high striped sock, and my frilly white sock.
I look inside the washing machine, a silver cave going into the far distance.
SYNOPSIS
The narrative follows a personal story to me, struggling with gender identity and dysphoria is certainly a struggle; I want to portray this discomfort in my short film. The narrative follows a boy that wants to be a girl, every time he looks in the mirror it reflects a girl (doesn't have to be similar looking). The narrative follows the routine of the character but the role switching between the girl and the boy regularly in order to express the duality occurring within him. There are ups and downs in the narrative, fun moments and traumatic moments. The final scene is the boy looking in the mirror once more, seeing the girl he thinks he is, she smiles, reflecting that he has come to terms with the situation and will begin to resolve it.
